So, I am thinking, maybe this high speed thing was too good to be true? At least the part about the 'package' saving us money..... The guy that signed us up, said that we would get the RFD station..... You ask, what is the RFD station? It stands for 'Rural Farm Delivery', a term well used years ago in the Mid-West. THIS is THE station that babysits my Dad 17 hours a day!! Needless to say, when the station did NOT come on for us the day of installation, Dad had a meltdown!! I SO have an 84 year old kid on my hands!! Sooo, I called Verizon and had to upgrade our package, which will cost 10 dollars more a month, there goes the savings of having a 'bundle' price!! GRRRRRRR!!!! I have half a mind to call the guy that talked us into all of this and give him a piece of my mind I can't afford to give away!! Not to mention that the remote for the TV in the master bedroom doesn't work worth a hoot, and I have to call Verizon YET again tomorrow and complain about that!! Okay, got that off my chest!! At least I can download things faster, although my computer won't let me complete downloading I-Tunes, so a setting must be messed up, lord knows it's not because my connection is too slow!!
Switching gears..... We take the rental truck back tomorrow, our neighbor offered up his pickup for Duane to drive, Duane's not happy about me getting it all arranged, but TOO bad!! I want him safe, and that does NOT include riding his bicycle back and forth to work!! I told him that thanks would be a gift card to a nice restaurant, and a full tank of gas when we give it back. He just doesn't want to impose, but truth be known, he would do the same for them if the situation were reversed and we had an extra vehicle!! (We did, by the way, and even though I begged to keep it, Duane made me sell it!!) Too bad we didn't keep one of the other campers, or the extra canopy, last year at this time we had 3 cars, 2 campers, and 2 canopies, now we have one car, and the other in the shop for God knows how long.... Yes, the Tacoma is being resurrected, just how long that will take, nobody knows!! Duane just wants his truck back, he drove one of the 2009 Tacoma's and didn't like it. It will be cheaper to fix it than to buy a new one, this is true, but I have to wonder if it will be as good as new. Time will tell, I guess!! Well, guess that's about it, we also may be going out to the collision repair place in the morning, so maybe we will have more clarity on how long the repair will take.... We also had to leave the wheelbarrow, a couple of shovels, and the chainsaw in the back of the truck the day we crashed since we didn't have any way to bring them home, so need to get that stuff back. Whew!!!
Whine, whine, whine, got any cheese to go with it?????
